Old / New Business

·         7:09 The recently re-watched secretary observes the meeting’s start time

·         The signing of the trails continues. Several people have heard ATV riders telling that they didn’t know they were on motorcycle only trails until seeing the signs.

·         The parking area for the Trail Ride needs to change for next year. It’s bad for several reasons, most notably that it is right next to the road.

·         Not much progress on the club clothing. Mike Murphy will have them come up with a few more potential logos.

·         Tom Peterson looked at SponserHouse.com sponsorship for the track and it did not seem like too good of a fit. Local shops or vendors would be better.

·         The idea of a track series was brought up again. Tom will contact the promoters of some of the other tracks to see if they want to partner on a series. One was receptive to the idea last year, but we brought it up too late.

·         The wells are still not in. Skip will try to lean on the well guy a bit to get him going.

·         The fence along 70 looks bad. It needs to be replaced with chain link. This statement may be put in the minutes until the job is done.

·         Someone (you know who you are) actually locked the front gate using the little chain that is used to hold the gate open. For those of you that need this reminder, use the large chain to lock the gate.

·         There was discussion on the rules being voted on at the annual district meeting.

·         Motion made and passed to give away 4 rider entry gift certificates at the banquet. Since it was his idea, Bob Chase will make them and keep track of their use.

·         There was some discussion about the outside ref’s duties. No motion was made, but it was agreed that someone besides Ken needs to be the Enduro referee and it could be someone other than the outside ref. (Could be kind of another unofficial title, like Trophy Guy)

·         Bob Maki and Jeff Terrio were voted in as non-probationary members. Both have helped a lot with the woods events and Bob has a cool trials bike that he lets people ride.

·         Jeff Kline and Jeff Mack were voted in as probationary members.

·         Nominations were made for Club Officers. Voting will end at the next meeting. A ballot is included with this newsletter.
