7:02 – Meeting starts unusually prompt again

· Omission noted from previous month’s newsletter: Aaron Petty was voted in as a Probationary member at the February 23^rd meeting.

· Grant in Aid Status – A detailed summary is included in the Treasurer’= ;s report. Because of a well-concealed filing deadline, we have lost the money= we had left over from 2003. Ken is filing a supplement to get the money back a= nd is waiting for approval.

· Gene Perry was voted in as a fully vested member (non-probationary). The vote on= Lee Larson was tabled until next meeting. He was not present at the meeting and= had not been seen for a while.

· There was nothing new to report on any of the following agenda items. They will be addressed next meeting:

o&nb= sp; Jackets, Potlatch Leases, Track Fence project, Well St= atus

· Stone Lake – 20 miles are flagged, with = 24 miles done. People have been calling asking how they can help. Once the clearing begins, it will be easi= er to get them busy.

· Track Grading

o&nb= sp; Tom Peterson and Rob Murphy have arranged to have equipment brought to the track Fri – Sun of race weekends.

o&nb= sp; Last year’s bill is finally settled

o&nb= sp; In case you missed this last month, there has been some problems with communication in the past regarding the grading. To prevent this in the fut= ure, only people on “The List” can give direction to the equipment operator and right now, The List is Tom Peterson (more to be added as needed).

· Grantsburg Race Prep

o&nb= sp; Everything should be set with regard to paperwork and trophies. There is some fence maintenance and a few other repairs needed, but overall, we’re in pre= tty good shape for the upcoming races.

o&nb= sp; We have the sound meter and a few people have completed the training. Ken Fast= ener will be the “sound testing guy”, heading that up with assistance from a few other club members. The testing will take place close to the Entrance Cabin.

o&nb= sp; Instead of adding another gate east of the present one, it was decided to just make= the current entrance another lane wider and then replace the existing 12 foot g= ates (which have seen better days) with 16 footers.
