Club Party

The winter club party has been set for February 18th at the St. Louis Park Tavern just as it was last year. You can get there as early as 5:00 and we will eat at 6:00, bowling will start after dinner until 9:30 with more food brought out to our lanes. We should have more time to bowl this year, and when we are done we can use the party room as long as we want.

Also like last year, I am planning the go kart racing at Pro Kart, there will be a limited number of spots available so please email me or call to reserve your spot asap.

Club Meeting Minutes, for November 26, 2005

· Mike McCarthy was voted in as a probationary member.

· It was decided to have practice days before all the MX events except for the Quad-Only day. We will let people on Friday night, but our announced gate open time will be Saturday morning. Practice will run from 11-4 as the other tracks do. We will try flagging ourselves the first one and if that doesn’t work well, we’ll look at other options.

· New Fence - Thanks to Mark Krey for heading up this project and doing a fair amount of work on it as well. All of the fence posts are in. We'll wait until spring to install the fence.

· GIA Update - See attached report for expenses and reimbursement amounts. Grant application for 2006 has been submitted to the DNR. Expense reports for 2005 has been submitted to Pine County. Expect check sometime in January or early February.

· Trail Update

o Stone Lake trails need to be reviewed for reroutes and repairs. Enduro will run in reverse direction from 2005. Enduro will be in mid-June (date to be finalized at the Sanctioning Meeting). That means that some hills may be too steep and will require rerouting. Would like to put in at least 2 miles of new trail.

o Holyoke trails are closed for the winter. The DNR has done some of the grading work on the east bank of the State Line Creek X-ing. The mitigation work on the west bank is to be decided based on a visit by the DNR and GIA reps.

o Ron's section will need alot of work to reroute around the troublesome Potlatch leaseholders. Plan to "fix up" the old A/B Section by rerouting off of some of the "icky" two track trails. Hope to get some more mileage out of the reroutes.

Lana (Mark Krey’s daughter) went to Texas and raced the WMA (Womens Motocross Association) amatuer race at Cycle Ranch over Thanksgiving weekend and placed 3rd in Beginner and 12th in Collegegirl.
