· 2007 Dues are due. Please take the time to submit them promptly as it would relieve the treasurer and secretary of the distasteful job of sending out reminders.
· The Dues structure has been changed. It is now: Jan 1 thru April 1: $50, April 2 thru July 1: $75, after July 2, you’re out. $100 to buy back in.
· Dues can be sent to:
Roy Fleming
14550 94th St. N.E.
Elk River, MN 55330
· SAER is looking for someone to take on the responsibility of Trophy Guy. Time is running short before our event season starts. Help!!
Don’t forget that we decided to schedule the March and April meetings a week earlier than normal, because of the timing of our races.

Club Meeting Minutes, from January 31, 2007
Attendance
Club Members – Greg Nelson, Ken Fastner, Scott Haraldson, Jon Kemnitz, Mike Murphy, Billy May, Mike Murphy. Prospective members: Chris Crone, Ben Horgen.
· Decided to table voting on making Richardt Fleichman a full member until we contact him.
· Grantsburg - Mike brought up several new changes for MX event weekends. The following is a list of all changes for everyone’s reference:
o Saturday Practice will run from 11:00 – 5:00
o Practice fee - $20
o Raceday Signup to start @ 6:30, Practice @ 8:30, Riders Meeting @ 9:30, Race @ 10:00
o Race Entry - $30, Gate Fee – $8
o Vehicles arriving before practice is over will not pay camping (won’t necessarily advertise it that way)
o Race sign-ups will be accepted during Saturday practice.
o Gates will open @ 9:00 Saturday morning and close @11:00 pm. Will re-open @ 6:00 am Sunday.
· Outhouse project discussion tabled until the right people come to a meeting.
· Scott Haraldson still working on getting KTM Demo Day at one of our MX practice days.
· A race order posting system for riders at the MX start was discussed. Electronics were deemed too expensive. Maybe a big whiteboard based system??
· Decided against sending out postcards to advertise our spring MXs like we did last year. Mike felt that we should make better use of the D23 site for getting info to riders about our events.
· Plan to eliminate a couple of flagger stands on the big track and have some hired flaggers move to the MINI track.
· The Snowmobile Club has been lined up to flag our 2nd and 4th MXs. Still working on 1st and 3rd.
· Would like to get some non-sand fill for the tunnel jump approaches. Wouldn’t take that much dirt to accomplish this. If anyone has a line on some suitable, cheap fill, contact Mike Murphy.
· Discussed giving the MX riders that qualify for a trophy the option of getting a $5 refund instead. That would save us money and may appeal to some riders who don’t really desire the trophy they won.
· Nemadji GIA – Nothing new. Waiting for check from 2006 and acceptance letter for 2007 application.
· Holyoke – Ken checked out big clearcut in Greg’s section. Should be able to route the trail such that we don’t lose any mileage there. Other known clearcuts should be sorta easy to route through.
· Stone Lake – Club participation will be the same as last year, with MOTR doing half of the trailwork and all of the logistics. SAER will do the other half of the trailwork and provide volunteers for event day.
· Stone Lake - We’ve been up to Stone Lake flagging and clearing new trail and rerouting some old trail. That work will continue throughout the winter.
· Stone Lake - We asked for and got an additional plot of land to work with that is south of the Tuscobia Trail and connects to the last segment of our existing trail. We’ll call it section “N”.
· Stone Lake - Last year’s new powerline may get widened due to the addition of another pipeline in that corridor.
· Ken Fastner drafted the constitutional amendment moving the yearly club officer elections up one month. Look for it soon. Amendments require a 2/3 thumbs up before passing so, please vote so that we can decide on this.
· There is now a club message board set up in Google Groups. If you have not been emailed an invitation, contact our webmaster at kjewell@mm.com
