The
winter club party has been set for February 18th at the St. Louis Park Tavern
just as it was last year. You can get there as early as 5:00 and we will eat at
6:00, bowling will start after dinner until 9:30 with more food brought out to our
lanes. We should have more time to bowl this year, and when we are done we can
use the party room as long as we want.

like last year, I am planning the go kart racing at Pro Kart, there will be a

Club
Paraphernalia – Mike Murphy delivered the jackets etc. ordered by the members
at the last meeting.

Discussion
of the schedule – The main concerns with the April-heavy schedule are how to
get the spring work done up in
·
Hiway
70 Fence project – Most of the posts are in. It was decided to make the fence
continuous including replacing the barb wire fence that is among the pine tree
clump.
·
Property
Purchase – Ken has spoken with the people who live on the other side of the
property and they are very interested in buying the back (south) half. This
would work out nicely from a club budget perspective. If this was done, we
would first buy the entire property, then sell the back half. Our next steps
are to see if they can insure us that they will buy the back half and to
determine what our offer should be. They are asking 70,000, which intuitively
seems high, but we need someone more familiar with the area, and at estimating
land value, in order to more accurately estimate the market price.

Enduro
if the Year - Two things related to this. If you go to the banquet and vote, the
club suggestion is to vote for the Stone Lake Enduro rather than
·
State
Line Creek Crossing – We have committed to building a bridge. It will need to
be around thirty feet long.
·
Ken
F and Ron were exploring the A/B area and discovered some existing trails,
complete with two bridges. Those trails will probably be used in conjunction
with some other trail work, to add some mileage to that section.

Party
is the same weekend as the Arkansaw trip. We just figure out a new way each
year to prevent Ken F from attending.

Track
Grading – Tom, Tim, and Rob will figure out what will done for the track
equipment and grading.
