Announcements

·         Club Party – High marks all around for the club party, February 5th at Park Tavern. Seeing dirt bike riders try to bowl was worth the price of admission (free) alone. The food was good, but we needed a few more people = to eat it all. Big thanks to Matt Leebens for setting it up.=

·         Ken Fastner and others go to the Stone Lake riding area ne= arly every weekend. Contact him if you would like to join in and help. Ken will = be there March 12.  ken.r.fastner@seagate.com   651-456-0224

·         2005 dues are now overdue. They are an still affordable, $25. To avoid next month’s shame list, bring your dues to the next meeting or send them = to:

7:03 – Meeting starts unusually prompt again

·         Track Grading

o&nb= sp;       Tom Peterson can get a large Cat to the track from a friend of his near Northfield. Rob M= urphy stated that he had worked an arrangement to get equipment to the track and = was willing to do the track work this spring. There was general agreement that = both options sounded good and to let Rob and Tom work out which one would work o= ut best.

o&nb= sp;       It was agreed that there has been some problems with communication in the past regarding the grading. To prevent this in the future, we’ll do two things. First, only people on “The List” can give direction = to the equipment operator and right now, The List is Tom Peterson (more to= be added as needed). Also, a simple written contract will be used, specifying:=

§         What work is to be done

§         When it is to be done

§         How much will be charged

·         The Well Project – Still nothing to report. Since he was out of the room = at the time, it was unanimously agreed that Mike Murphy should follow-up on th= at.

·         The Fence Project – Yes, we do have one. The fence along 70 is incomplete= and an eyesore. It was agreed to (quite a while ago) that we should replace it = with permanent metal fence the whole length of the north border (minus the curre= nt gate). Mark Krey volunteered to figure out some costs and bring them to the next meeting. It was also agreed to put in another gate, east of the one th= at is there now, to be used as an emergency exit. We can decide later if we wi= ll grade or drop gravel.

·         Motocross Trophies – Enough are ordered for the first three races. The bill wil= l be $(Edited for web page). This includes the participation awards.<= /span>

·         Blue Hills (aka Stone Lake) – There are 12 miles arrowed. Some of it will be fairly easy to clear, but there are also parts = that will be pretty tough.

·         Enduro Banquet – A rather modest club turn-out. Didn’t get the Enduro = of the Year award this year. Pretty tough to get it three years in a row. Nobo= dy really likes a dynasty.

·         Ken Fastner gave us the highlights of his regular meeting  with ARMCA ,DNR =

·         Motion made and passed to set aside 2000 dollars to be used for next year’s taxes or future projects. Rather than a separate bank account, it will initially just be a reporting change.
