· October’s last Wednesday is Halloween so we moved the meeting date one week earlier to Oct 24th.
· All Club Meetings will be at Bob’s Cycle until further notice.
· Voting takes place for club officers this month. Watch for ballot under separate mailing.
· The Enduro next year will be a National! The date is Aug 24th.
· According to Tim Kight, there will be work going on every weekend at the track from now until spring on the new Grantsburg Signup Building. Show up if you want to construct.
· Please, make sure that you and anyone you invite to ride at Grantsburg has a quiet bike! If you have a loud bike, please quiet it down before practicing at the track. Please see to it that your guests are not excessively loud either. Mike Murphy has a variety of DB Dawgs that a club member can get for $25.
· Never too early to send in 2008 dues. The Dues structure is: Jan 1 thru April 1: $50, April 2 thru July 1: $75, after July 2, you’re out. $100 to buy back in.

Club Meeting Minutes, from September 26, 2007
Attendance:
Club Members – Mark Brunsberg, Bob Chase, John DeLuce, Ken Fastner, Mark Krey, John Otto
Prospective members – Chris Gendron (2nd), Lana Merkley (2nd), Dave Anderson (3rd)
· Holyoke / GIA
o GIA Expense Reports are in from the Section Leaders. Ken will submit an Expense Report now and another in the winter for work that is done between now and the Spring.
o The permit for the bridge went through. There is some concern from the DNR that it might be too wet to get heavy equipment to the site this fall. The rains following the meeting probably did not help this. The bridge installation, planned for this fall, may be postponed until Spring.
o There was a prolonged discussion about bridge beams.
o The national status of the enduro will mean additional tasks. Ken plans to form a task force for the enduro that will meet separate from the regular club meetings. We will probably refer to it as the 40th Annual Minnesota Moose Run Enduro. At this moment, we are thinking that the national status will be a one-time event.
· Stone Lake – Ken Fastner expressed his wish that, in order to concentrate on the new Signup Building, the Spring MXs and the National Enduro, that the club have no formal involvement in the Stone Lake Enduro in 2008.
· Grantsburg
o The old sign-up trailer is torn down (boo hoo!). In its place will be a 20’ x 60’, non-trailer building.
o The track was graded after the race.
o Mike Murphy expressed his wishes that we only have 2 races next year, the first weekend of April and the first weekend of May (or the closest date we can avoid a triple-race date). The small number of members present agreed.
o Mark Krey and Lana Merkley want to invite everyone in the club to a birthday party at the track Oct 20-21. There will be cake. Mark also mentioned something about club guys going to Kellogg Oct 18 for practice. Contact him for more info on either.
· John Otto made a motion to limit bikes at Grantsburg to 96db. It was not seconded and will not be reintroduced. (Note – Last meeting, it was tabled for this meeting. The minutes did not reflect this.) There was quite a bit of discussion about enforcement, or lack thereof, of the current 99db rule.
