The club ride last weekend was pretty darn good. We covered quite a bit of trail, even some of the combined bike/ATV stuff near the sandpit parking lot. Conditions were good, it was just a bit wet.
Did some ATV riding with my wife on the back yesterday and WOW!, the place is transformed. It is SUPER WET pretty much everywhere. Big puddles, soft mudholes and slimy conditions prevail. Now that it’s Fall and it’s colder, there’s no drying from here on in.
Please don’t ride in the Nemadji when it is this wet. It wreaks havoc on the trails. The last thing they need is more rutting.
Don’t forget that the trails are CLOSED during the firearms deer hunting season (11/9 – 11/24).
